An owner-operated house gets looked after differently to a managed one. Here's what has changed recently, and what's coming.
No work is ever scheduled during a booked stay. Not a quiet bit of painting, not a contractor letting himself in for twenty minutes. The house is yours for the nights you've paid for.
If something on this page ends up affecting dates you've already booked, you'll hear it from me directly, before it happens, with the option to move your dates or cancel for a full refund.
Most of it is small. Small is usually what you notice.

No key handover, no meeting anyone, no waiting on a lockbox in the rain. You get a door code the day before you arrive.

Fire extinguishers, smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors all tested and dated. Not glamorous. Worth knowing somebody actually checks.
Listed here before it happens, not announced afterwards.

The upstairs isn't part of the rental today — the whole main floor and the basement are yours, and the upstairs is simply closed. Finishing it would add sleeping space for larger families.
Something you'd like to see? If there's a piece of gear or a small comfort that would have made your stay better, tell me. A fair number of things on the list above started as a sentence in somebody's email.

Send your dates and you'll hear back the same day — usually within the hour.
